Lync is now 'Skype for Business'

Lync, tool used to communicate for work is ready for next release with new name 'Skype for Business'.
 
Microsoft is set to release next version of Lync as Skype for Business with a new client experience, new server release, and updates to the service in Office 365 in first half of 2015.
 
The more familiar Skype icons for calling, adding video and ending a call will also be available in this new version. Call monitor option in Skype is also included which keeps active calls visible even if we move focus to another application.
 
 
Lync’s content sharing and telephony features also included in Skype for Business.
 
 
No new hardware is required when updating Lync Server 2013 to the new Skype for Business Server. Office 365 customers will get updates with the new Skype for Business.
