On Sept 12, Apple announced iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, Apple Watch and Apple Pay.
Apple Pay allows consumers to pay using their phones only. Visa, MasterCard and American Express cards are accepted for now.
Many of the banks have already started introducing their Apple Pay services and Wells Fargo seems to be the one of the first to jump in with Apple Pay. Wells Fargo has started sending the following email to its customers.

Apple Pay will work with most of our consumer and small business cards including Wells Fargo Visa® Credit, Debit, and Prepaid Cards; Wells Fargo MasterCard® Credit Cards; and with our new Wells Fargo Propel American Express® Credit Cards.
