Content Authorship Removed From Google search

On 28 Aug, Google declared that the content authorship is no longer displayed in search results because it wasn't as useful as expected.
Google announced on its Official authorship support page that, "Authorship markup is no longer supported in Web search." Content authorship introduced in 2011 to allow authors to claim their content and get more followers by showing their efforts in search results. John Mueller, Google Webmaster Trends Analyst posted on Google+ that, "We've gotten lots of useful feedback from all kinds of webmasters and users, and we've tweaked, updated, and honed recognition and displaying of authorship information but we've made the difficult decision to stop showing authorship in search results." For the past few months Google has been steadily working in this direction as the company removed Google+ profile photos and Google+ follower count numbers from search results and now the content authorship.
