Microsoft Ready To Pay $2.5 Billion For Minecraft Maker

Is Microsoft ready to spend billions dollars to increase its presence in the gaming arena? An article published on Reuters and several other sources reporting that Microsoft will announce a $2.5 Billion deal with Mojang, the company that makes Minecraft game.  The company has 100 million game users worldwide. By acquiring 100 million gamers will put Microsoft in a higher raking with the gaming companies.  Microsoft has been pushing its Project Spark for Windows 8 game for a while now and by adding Minecraft and bringing it to Xbox will make Microsoft as major player in the gaming industry. Minecraft game is not available for Windows Phone users and gamer has been ignoring Windows Phone and Windows Store platform due to its small number of game users. By acquiring the company, Microsoft will be able to build and push the game to its Windows Phone and Windows 8 platforms.
